Eddie arrived in Manila a few days before Christmas. He tried to visit Albay but due to bad weather condition the plane could not land and returned to Manila.

Eddie finished his BS Mechanical Engineering course at Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1966, from which school graduate classmates that include Dexter Nate (Civil Engineering), Amer Manila (Mechanical Engineering) and Rudy Lana (Electrical Engineering) graduated.

He immediately worked at Legazpi Oil  as plant engineer until 1969 when he was sent to the US by the company for work in their plants there. He permanently stayed in the USA. He has visited the country a few times but was not able to contact any classmate. That is why, all of us met Eddie for the first time since our graduation in 1961.

He is returning to the country in April to attend the golden anniversary celebratory activities of Albay High School Class of 1961.

So glad to have kapihan with you, Eddie!

Identifying the members of Section 2

Eve brought a copy of the class picture of their section, 2.

Identifying each of his section mates was not easy after 50 years.

The AHS1961 Cap

Eve and Thur showed us a sample of the AHS61 cap which they are giving away to classmates who are attending the April golden celebration. The caps, 100 of them,  have been delivered to their home and this early are ready for the anniversary.

This gift from Eve and Thur is much appreciated by the AHS61 class considering that Thur just had an expensive operation and the P11,000 bill for the caps is a fortune for many of us. Salamuch, Eve and Thur! May your tribe increase a thousandfold!
