Here are some photos I selected at random of the various activities we had from May 18 to May 21. I will post more photos when I have more time, probably later part of this week.

This is just to give an idea to those who missed the reunion activities of how things went.

That is Mat Esplana greeting Amer. Mat is 72 years old, yes 72. Figure out why so.

In the evening of May 18, as bienvenida to all, Alan and Josie invited our classmates to a get-together.

And look how they love each other's company:

  - Oca Imperial with his arm around Mimoy, and Mimoy with his hand on Oca's lap;

  - Topguns, este topgones Alan and Vic Luna in a greeting that only they could do with credibility, with Cesar

    Edralin, another candidate for the topgone category, trying to imbibe the style.

We had fine weather from May 18 to 21 as you can see in this photo of the famous volcano on the morning of the 19th. That is Gate 1 of the AHS campus.

The Chronicle takes center stage with Nimfa Llanera, while Bebot Mascariñas is happy with the bottomless beer brought by Max and Maritz all the way from Manila..

In the evening we had this socials a the Green Leaf patio. That is Minda Baldano on the karaoke. She and Mike a.c.a.  Cenon Akabado were my personal choice for the best karaoke singers for the night.

May 20

Judge (in real life) Ruben Carretas wants to shift from a member of the Philippine Bar to a Bartender when he retires a few years from now.

Boy Ordiz was chosen the youngest-looking classmate in the boy category.

Badong Ludovice (left) and Cyril Basco receive their certificates of attendance from Fe. Cyril was given other gifts for showing determination in attending the reunion despite a disability as a result of a stroke in 2004.

The reunion was also about crush-mates. Here, Gloria, in the presence of Josie (Alan's better half), fearlessly  reveals to all that Alan was his crush in high school.

Oca and Grace won the reversed Statue Dance (stop when there is music, and dance when there is silence).

May 21

The verdict? Everybody had a good  and meaningful time renewing friendships with friends of long ago. Of course, as in many things,  there were also some shortcomings like, we did not have pancit in any of the meals, and pancit  is supposed to give us longer lives.

But there is a positive spin even to that shortcoming: that also  means that everybody must take more steps to take care of one's health if one  wishes to have more good time in 2011 instead of being reverently recalled in a one-minute silent prayer. ;-)).

Classmates were hosted by Fe to a lunch that was also an opportunity to hold a general assessment of the reunion with the representatives of  our classmates based in Legaspi, Manila and North America in attendance. >>>

As archivist of the amateur type, I had this bonus: Fe and Bella brought their old photo albums and I was able to copy old photographs of our classmates. The photo shown here is I think Joe doing the twist or something like maskipaps in a 1968 party.
