The suggestion for a class reunion in December 1993 was first brought up during the birthday party of Mimoy Abitria on June 12, 1993.

The stated objective was to provide an opportunity for members of Class 61 to renew old friendships and acquaintances and to enjoy the fellowship with other classmates through the shared recollection of memorable experiences during the high school years.

A Secretariat  composed of Mimoy, Armand, Bella and Mon took charge of the preparations.
